I have personally had an issue (more than once) where I print something, and literally a week later the job finally comes out. In the chance that it does actually send the job to the printer, it usually takes AT LEAST 20 minutes to print (all others complete immediately because this is a small office). It will lock the program (usually Word or Excel) up while it tries to communicate. I install the printer, it works fine for a couple of days, then it starts having problems communicating with the printer. On one workstation in particular (Win 7 Pro), I have installed the printer about 4 different times (deleting them and restarting between installs). Obviously though, something is not right. When I install a printer on someones workstation, I do so by adding a tcp/ip printer and it auto queries the printer to find the best driver. I have had a lot of issues with printing in my building.
